Glossary Term
Fragile / Handle with Care Label
A warning label applied to the outer packaging of a shipment to alert carriers and warehouse staff that the contents are easily broken and require extra care.
Protecting Your Breakables
While a "Fragile" label doesn’t guarantee the carrier will be gentle, it is your first line of defense. It alerts warehouse staff and delivery drivers to avoid throwing or stacking heavy items on top of the box. For insurance claims, having a clearly visible Fragile label is often a requirement to prove you took "reasonable care" in packaging.
Custom vs. Standard Labels
You can buy rolls of generic red Fragile stickers, but a better way to save time and money is to print your warning labels on-demand. Using a dedicated warning label maker allows you to customize the size and language of the label to fit your specific packaging.
- High-contrast (Red/White) for maximum visibility.
- Required for glassware, electronics, and ceramics.
- Can be combined with "This Side Up" arrows.
