X00 Label

The specific prefix for FNSKU barcodes assigned to products fulfilled through the Amazon FBA network.

The Most Common FBA Barcode

When you print an FNSKU, you’ll notice the alphanumeric code underneath the barcode starts with "X00." This tells Amazon that this unit is unique to your seller account. It is the "gold standard" for FBA labeling because it prevents your inventory from being mixed (commingled) with other sellers.

X00 vs. B00 (ASIN)

If your label starts with "B00," you are likely using the manufacturer barcode (commingled). If it starts with "X00," it’s an FNSKU. For most private label and wholesale sellers, the X00 label is required to ensure that if a customer returns a "bad" item, it is tracked back to *your* inventory and not someone else’s.

  • Always starts with the "X00" prefix for seller-specific inventory.
  • The barcode format is usually Code 128.
  • Must be applied directly over any existing manufacturer barcode.
