The Free Text feature allows you to add custom text to your product labels. You can use it to include details such as expiration date, place of production, brand name, or any other product-related information.

When the Free Text feature is enabled, a pop-up will appear while generating labels via the extension or web uploader. This pop-up allows you to enter text for three specific sections:

Header Free Text - Appears at the top of the label.
Footer Free Text - Appears at the bottom of the label.
Next to Condition Text - Appears in the empty space next to the "Condition" section.

For texts placed in the header or footer, you can adjust their appearance using the Header Font Size and Footer Font Size options. Text placed next to the condition always matches the font size of the "Condition" text for visual consistency.

If your Free Text input is too long to fit, the system will automatically shorten it in the most optimal way, ensuring both the beginning and end of the text remain visible.

Free Text in Extension

When using the Free Text feature through the extension, additional buttons are available to quickly insert platform-specific values like ASIN, MSKU, and Number of Labels into any of the three Free Text areas.

There are two button types: Insert (replaces the existing content in the selected field) and Append (adds the value to the end of the current content). This allows you to chain multiple items like ASIN, MSKU, and Number of Labels into one field.

Step by Step Guide

After logging into Label Resizer, click on Product from the leftmost menu then select Product Label Settings from the sub-menu.

In product settings, enable the Enable Free Text slider. Set your preferred font sizes for Header and Footer texts. Then save settings.

A popup screen opens whenever you resize labels with Enable Free Text activated. You can add individual header, footer, and side text for each FNSKU independently or apply the same text to all labels. If you leave fields empty, no additional text will appear on your labels.

Texts you enter for each FNSKU are saved and automatically displayed in future sessions. The "Save and Close" button only saves your entries - it does not perform the resize action.

When you click Resize Labels, resized labels with font-adjusted free text are automatically downloaded to your computer.

In the extension, you can easily insert ASIN, MSKU, or Number of Labels into any Free Text field with special buttons. Text entered in the top Free Text boxes will be applied to all labels during printing.
